Ordinary Pimpled Rubber

A single layer of non-cellular rubber, synthetic or natural, with pimples evenly distributed over its surface at a density of 10 to 30 per square cm, and smooth on the other side. The smooth side is glued directly onto the blade, whilst the pimples are used to hit the ball.
