Neutral Position

A position where a player can hit both forehand and backhand with ease. From this position, the forehand can be hit by simply turning the shoulders to the right, and the backhand by rotating the forearm 90 degrees towards the torso.

To reach this position, the player must keep their feet either square to the line of play or the right foot (for right hand players) a little bit behind the left foot. The feet should be kept wide apart (more than shoulder width), and the player should crouch forward with their elbows roughly shoulder width apart, and the tip of the bat pointing forward.
