Crossover Footwork
A style of footwork that require the player to cross their feet. It is one of the basic methods of moving around the court, and is mainly used when a player wants to cover a large distance to the left or right. A shuffle step is used for smaller distances.
A crossover step to the left is performed by moving the right foot to the left, crossing in front of the left foot, and then moving the left foot the same distance to the left just before the right foot touches the ground. Once both feet have settled, the ball is hit.
