2-Step Footwork
The most commonly used style of footwork, used to get into the forehand position for balls to the wide forehand. It is a type of side-skipping movement used to cover medium distances.
In this step, the player leans on their right leg, pulls their left foot towards the right foot, and then quickly shifts their right foot to the right. The player ends up with their feet in the same relative position as when they started, except 2-3 feet further to the right.
